Write After Heartbreak
heal yourself…
Love is the strongest emotion you will feel. And almost immediately, when it doesn’t end well, you might feel a strong heartache that you would want to give up your life. But then, slowly, you will recover — sometimes in a month or sometimes in a lifetime.
Regardless, the best advice I got when I was going through a heartache was to write down my feelings and share them. Not to write bad things for your lover but rather make your pain an extension of your art. You can make any art out of these- painting, music or singing.
But writing is a pure bliss because you have to write downhow you feel in words, which your mind has to articulate, edit and write down in a manner which is cohesive.
It’s as if you see your emotions in a paper and feel exhausted, relieved or sigh. And it heals you because you are sharing a part of your pain. And when you see the pain shared, it reveals a different side of yours.
The one which is more joyous, more courageous and more forgiving.
After a series of notes, you realise it’s all okay, and then you move on. From the heartache, but when you fall in love with the craft of writing. It stays, and how wonderful it is.
Because you could see yourself growing, making better decisions and making art for all to get something out of it. Write, create and heal yourself.
