Habits for a Purpose-Driven Life
You are your habit. And those habits are formed by a system. When you think about how you are going to achieve your long-term goal, often people get fearful that it’s hard. And the huge moving pieces shake them.
But the simplest way is to imagine the things you need to do today, tomorrow and consistently so that you achieve your long term result.
This can be as simple as lifting 100 kg as a deadlift.
To achieve this, you need to develop a habit of going gym daily. Then, you need to do things like weight training and cardio progressively to improve your overall strength. Then, your nutrition should match up to the workout you do. And then, you need to hire a deadlift expert who will guide you on the proper techniques.
All of this will seem daunting and hard and impossible. But remember, you need to tackle one thing at a time.
First, for 3 months, simply join a gym and do the bare minimum. And then, for the next 3 months, focus on improving. And then for the next 3 months, hire an expert. And in 1 year’s time, you will have achieved a significant improvement in your deadlift, even if it might not be the 100 kg target.
To achieve this, you need two things — habits and a system.
Define a habit you need for the next 1 month. Find a routine system to follow.
Like you brush your teeth every day, do that routine every day. And your goal will be achieved. It’s as simple as this but not easy.
Now go and block half an hour every dayfor your habits and see the magic 1 year down the line.
